Two days super jeep tour to Jokusarlon glacier lagoon along Iceland south coast

This two days super-jeep excursion combines the “Great South Coast” tour with a visit to the famous Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, offering the possibility to stay overnight in the proximity of the notorious natural wonder.

 

The first day, we follow the Great South Coast tour itinerary until we reach the village of Kirkjubaejarklaustur, where we stay overnight.

The little town offers a couple of comfy hotels, a swimming pool and a remarkable restaurant known for its delicious, local cuisine.

The second day, we continue our tour bordering the immense Vatnajökull, the biggest glacier in Europe, until we reach our main attraction: Jökulsárlón. No worries…You’ll have plenty of time to take pictures and walk around the lagoon!

On the way back to Reykjavik we also stop to visit Fjallsárlón: another stunning glacier lake, less known to mass-tourism.

 

Overnight accommodation is in well-appointed Hotels/Guest Houses (all with private bathrooms) and can be arranged, upon request.
